Adaway is a popular app for android which allow you to block ads from Android apps.

Description :
Adaway is an ad blocker which uses the hosts file located on your system files. The files contains a lot of mappings between host names and IP ( Internet Protocol ) address. With Adaway app installed on your device, when any app or game requests an advertisement, the requests to redirected to this IP address 127.0.0.1 which doesn't provide any results. You can run a server to respond to blocked host names and to direct requests to the IP address of your own. This is option to download hosts file from the application but it is possible to use your own. It is also possible to your own add certain sites to the white & black lists.
